Mapping of Youth Policies and Identification of Existing Support and Gaps in Financing of Youth Actions in the Western Balkans

With the support of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), the Group for Integration and Democracy (GID) successfully implemented the project  “Training Needs Assessment and Training Strategies to Raise Parliamentary Technical Capacities and Awareness on the Common Regional Market.” The project delivered concrete results that strengthened the technical backbone of parliamentary oversight in the Western Balkans. Key achievements included the completion of a regional capacity mapping phase to consolidate background initiatives and avoid duplication, followed by the identification and engagement of parliamentary advisors across the region for structured knowledge profiling.

GID further delivered a one-day regional workshop, designed and coordinated in cooperation with RCC, which validated initial findings, generated collective insights, and defined shared regional training priorities.

The project also produced a fully drafted Needs Assessment Report, integrating interview analysis and stakeholder inputs, and presenting a prioritized list of parliamentary training needs, effective delivery methods, and adaptable regional training strategies to raise CRM-related technical capacities. These results positioned parliamentary technical staff as more informed and better equipped actors supporting committees in regional market scrutiny, oversight coordination, and regional cooperation reform processes.
